Happy Halloween...

Halloween

The National Retail Federation reports that spending this year is up compared with last year.

While total spending on the holiday is expected to reach $4.75 billion, consumers are expected to spend an average of $66.28 on Halloween, up from $56.31 compared with 2009 (but not yet equal to the $66.54 average spent in 2008.

"Though Halloween spending will be much more robust than a year ago, consumers will still err on the side of caution," said Phil Rist, Executive VP of BIGresearch (the company that did the research for NRF).
