Employee fired over Facebook wins suit
A complaint to the NLRB by a Teamster worker who was fired for posting negative remarks on Facebook about her employer has been settled in her favor.
She had posted the remarks from her home computer; her complaint said that her posting was "protected.activity" under the National Labor Relations Act.
The settlement seems to say that employers cannot fire workers for discussing their wages and other work matters when they are not at work.
