*No more IP addresses*

No more IP addresses

Robert Levine of Robert A. Levine & Associates tells us that February 3, 2011, marked the end to the availability of IP addresses under our current system.

There are now outstanding 4,294,976,296 IP (Internet Protocol) addresses which designate the address of a computer on the Internet.

Experts are working to recover unused addresses while transitioning to a new, expanded system to accommodate many, many more addresses.

So as you are planning your technology investments, you need to account for the change. In the mean time we will need to wait and see.
