Tax deadlines
Today is the deadline for filing 2010 business returns (Forms 1120, 1120S, and 1065) on extension.
It is also the due date for the third installment of estimated taxes for 2011.
Automatic extensions have been granted for certain victims of Hurricane Irene (check the IRS disaster relief page).
And any taxpayer whose return was due today but whose preparer was affected by the storm has until September 22 to file.
